The Demon Chocolate adds the orange-eye (“Demon”, OE) mutation: the eye lacks its dark pigment and shows orange instead. The trait is recessive, so it takes deliberate line-breeding to hold in a colony. Orange-eyed Neocaridina were first stabilised in Germany by the breeder Michael Häsler and reached the wider hobby around 2025; a true one keeps a small dark dot in the centre of the eye.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the photo.\u003c\/strong\u003e The shrimp pictured is one of the best-looking adults from the batch.
