Cycling is the weeks-long process of growing the bacteria that make a new tank safe to live in. Animals give off ammonia, which is poisonous; the bacteria convert it first to nitrite, also poisonous, and then to nitrate, which is far milder and comes out with water changes. Until that bacterial colony is established, ammonia and nitrite can climb to harmful levels — the rise people call a “spike”.

Neo Booster Tropical (liquid) is Aquario's all-in-one water conditioner, formulated to tackle pollutants quickly and help shorten the time a new tank takes to cycle. It's positioned as a broad-spectrum conditioner rather than a single-purpose dechlorinator — a treatment that only neutralises the chlorine in tap water — useful groundwork when you're setting up a new aquarium or trying to get an established tank through an uncomfortable ammonia or nitrite spike faster.

A quick note on naming, because it does trip people up: this is the liquid Neo Booster Tropical, dosed into the water column (the tank water itself) in the usual way. Aquario also makes a Neo Cap Booster Tropical, a capsule version we stock as a separate listing — the two aren't interchangeable, so double-check you're ordering the bottle if that's what your dosing routine calls for.
