Sulawesi shrimp are Caridina too, but from Indonesia's ancient rift lakes rather than the soft acid streams the bee shrimp came from. Everything you learned tuning a Taiwan Bee tank runs the other way here: alkaline instead of acidic, distinctly warmer, and stable to the point of stubbornness.
Every Sulawesi shrimp we sell is captive-bred, never wild-caught. The Malili lake fauna is under real pressure — the Cardinal is listed as Critically Endangered and possibly extinct in the wild, surviving because hobbyists breed it.
