Orange Eyes White Gloves Sulawesi Shrimp
The White Gloves (Cardinal) — wine-red, white-spotted, white-tipped front legs — with glowing orange eyes.
Arrives young; the red deepens, the spotting sharpens and the eye colour comes up as they mature.

Not a beginner shrimp. Wants hard, warm, alkaline water — the opposite of our bee shrimp — and a tank that has been running for months. Numbers in the FAQ.
The orange-eyed form of the shrimp that made Sulawesi famous. A deep wine-red body carries a scatter of small white spots and the white-tipped forelegs that give White Gloves its name; the orange eyes are a selectively bred trait on top of that, and they read against the red the way they do on our orange-eyed bee lines.
A selectively bred form developed in captivity from White Gloves (Caridina dennerli) stock — the eye colour does not occur in the lake form.
The opposite of a bee shrimp tank. Alkaline instead of acidic, distinctly warmer, and stable to the point of stubbornness. Inert hardscape only — an active buffering soil pulls pH down and is wrong for this shrimp.
Maturity matters more than equipment. Give the tank months, not weeks, before stocking. Biofilm is the food base and a young tank cannot supply it.
Captive-bred. Every Sulawesi shrimp we sell is captive-bred, never wild-caught — and a selectively bred form like this one exists only in captivity.
The photo shows a high-grade or best-looking adult from the batch. We ship unsexed juveniles, 0.6–1.2 cm — too young to tell male from female.
