Description
Curved scaping scissors are stainless-steel scissors with a gentle bend in the blades for trimming plants inside the tank. The curve lets you cut parallel to the substrate, which is what you want when levelling a carpet or trimming a group of stems flat; straight blades tend to cut at an angle and leave a stepped edge. They are also the more versatile choice for reaching around hardscape.

Usage & Instructions
Trim little and often rather than hacking back hard. For stems, cut just above a node (the joint where leaves emerge) and replant the tops if you want a denser group. For carpets, skim across the top surface. Net or siphon out the clippings so they do not rot. Rinse in fresh water and dry after every use.
Risk & Awareness
Blades are sharp and can cut fingers, shrimp and fish; work slowly and keep livestock in view. Steel rusts if left wet, so dry before storing, and do not use scissors in a salted tank without rinsing. Cutting too much at once removes plant mass the tank relies on to take up nutrients and can trigger algae.
