Description
Bee pollen is the pollen collected by honey bees, sold as small dried granules. In aquariums it is used as an occasional supplementary feed, not a staple. It is rich in protein, vitamins and other nutrients, and a few granules dropped into the tank are picked at by shrimp and snails over several hours. Because it is protein-rich, it breaks down quickly once wet, which is why it is fed sparingly.

Usage & Instructions
Feed a small pinch of granules once or twice a week at most, or follow the rate printed on the product label. Dropping the granules into a feeding dish keeps them in one spot and makes leftovers easy to lift out. Watch how quickly it is finished and reduce the amount if any is left after a few hours.
Risk & Awareness
Any protein-rich food left uneaten breaks down into ammonia, which is toxic to shrimp and fish, and in a small tank that can happen fast. Remove leftovers after a few hours and do not feed it daily. Keep the packet sealed and dry. People with pollen or bee-product allergies should handle it with care.
