Description
A clip-on LED light is held by a clamp bracket on the rim of the glass rather than resting on a lid, which makes it the usual choice for rimless tanks with no hood. The arm angles the light over the water. Output on most clip-on units suits low to medium light plants: mosses, Anubias, Java fern and undemanding stems.

Usage & Instructions
Check the bracket's maximum glass thickness against your tank before fitting. Tighten the clamp on clean, dry glass and position the head so the beam covers the tank without shining in your eyes. Put it on a timer: 6 to 8 hours a day for a new tank, building to 8 to 10 as plants establish.
Risk & Awareness
A bracket that is over-tightened can chip or crack thin glass; one that is loose can let the light drop into the water. Keep the unit, its arm and the power lead above the water line and use a drip loop in the cable so water cannot run to the socket. Long photoperiods encourage algae; shorten the day first if algae appears.
