Description
A planted LED bar is a full-length light that spreads output evenly along the tank rather than from one point, which matters for even growth across a carpet and into the corners. Bars intended for planted tanks deliver more light than a basic nano unit, into the range that medium and demanding plants need (roughly 20 to 40 lumens per litre and above).

Usage & Instructions
Rest the bar on its legs or hang it as the maker describes, keeping the unit above the water line with a drip loop in the cable. Use a timer or the built-in schedule: 6 to 8 hours a day to start, extending to 8 to 10 once plants are growing well. If dimmable, begin at a modest level and raise it only when plants show they need more.
Risk & Awareness
More light means algae management becomes a question of photoperiod, nutrients and carbon dioxide, not just switching on. Higher output without matching nutrients and CO2 usually grows algae first. Keep the unit dry, use a residual-current safety switch, and do not look directly into the LEDs.
