Description
Dragon stone, also sold as ohko stone, is a clay-based rock in browns, ochres and reds with a deeply pitted, honeycombed surface. It is essentially inert, meaning it does not dissolve into the water, so unlike seiryu stone it does not push hardness or pH around. The craggy surface gives mosses and small epiphyte plants somewhere to grip, and the pockets shelter small shrimp.

Usage & Instructions
Rinse and scrub well: the holes hold fine clay dust that clouds water. Soaking overnight and rinsing again helps. Place the pieces directly on the base or on a thin cushion, and break larger pieces to fit if needed. The colour darkens when wet.
Risk & Awareness
Clay dust from an unrinsed stone can cloud the tank for days and settle into the substrate. The stone is brittle: edges chip in transit and pieces can snap when wedged under pressure. Sharp fragments and small pockets can trap a shrimp or small fish, so check odd cavities. Heavy pieces resting on a corner can crack glass.
