Description
A feeding ledge is a small dish or shelf, usually attached to the glass with a suction cup, that holds food in one place instead of letting it scatter into the substrate. That helps in two ways: you can see exactly how much has been eaten, and you can lift out what has not before it breaks down.

Usage & Instructions
Wet the suction cup and press it to clean glass at a height shrimp can reach, or set it low near the substrate. Drop food onto the ledge, using a feeding tube for powders if you have one. Most foods should be finished within about three hours; lift the ledge or siphon off what is left and rinse it.
Risk & Awareness
Suction cups lose grip over time and on algae-covered glass; a ledge that drops can spill food or trap a shrimp underneath, so check it regularly. Food left on the ledge still breaks down into ammonia, so a ledge is a tool for removing leftovers, not a reason to feed more. Rinse the dish to stop algae building up.
