The mesh guard every shrimp tank needs on its filter intake, because baby shrimp and impellers don't mix.
If there's one accessory worth calling genuinely non-negotiable for a shrimp tank running a canister or HOB (hang-on-back) filter, it's an intake guard. Filter intakes are built to move a lot of water, and a curious (or just unlucky) shrimp — fry (babies) especially — can get drawn in far enough to injure or kill it if there's nothing between the shrimp and the impeller (the spinning blade inside the filter's pump).
The Neo Inlet Net fits over the intake and adds a fine mesh barrier that keeps shrimp and fry out while still passing water through freely, with no meaningful hit to flow.
M suits roughly 13mm intake connections, L roughly 17mm. If you keep shrimp and don't already have an intake guard fitted, this is the accessory to fix that.
