Description
Snowflake food is made from soybean hulls, the dried outer shell of the soybean. It is fed differently from a pellet. Left in the tank, the hulls grow a white fungal fluff (mycelium, the thread-like growing part of a fungus) that shrimp graze on over several days. Because the hulls are plant fibre rather than protein, they break down slowly and do not foul the water the way a protein-rich food does if left in.

Usage & Instructions
Add a small amount, such as a piece around 1 cm long per 50 shrimp, and leave it in place. Add more only once it has been fully eaten. Follow the rate printed on the product label.
Risk & Awareness
Snowflake food is a grazing supplement, not a complete diet, so do not rely on it alone. Although it fouls slowly, any food added faster than it is eaten will still accumulate on the substrate. The white fungal growth is normal and is not a disease.
