Aquario Neo Solution FE

A dedicated iron boost for plants that want to blush red but aren't quite getting there.

Red colouration in aquarium plants — Rotala, Ludwigia, many Alternanthera, all popular red-stemmed species — comes from a combination of strong light and enough iron to build the anthocyanin pigments (the compounds that colour leaves red) that produce it. If a plant that should redden is staying green under otherwise good light, iron is usually the first thing worth checking. Aquario Neo Solution FE is a liquid iron fertiliser built for exactly that job.

It's meant as a targeted top-up rather than a full fertilising routine — most keepers run it alongside a broader macro/micro base (bulk nutrients plus trace minerals — the Neo Solution 1 and 2 pairing) and dose Solution FE specifically for red-plant sections, or when new growth is coming in pale or yellow-green instead of coloured.

As with the rest of the Neo Solution range, Aquario doesn't publish an exact iron concentration, so we can't quote a guaranteed analysis (the certified nutrient breakdown printed on fertiliser packaging). Dose conservatively, give it a week or two to show in new growth (iron deficiency shows first in new leaves, not old ones), and adjust from there rather than dosing heavily up front.
